i took me a few seconds to read this poem and an hour to watch it! a work of sculpture...
and i was reminded of last year... i gave a written assignment to my students to illustrate how they saw peace... one of them, a student of sculpting, wrote that for her peace was a black marble stone... showing a friendly hug... in a way you couldn't differentiate between the two bodies...
the image was so magnificent... for the first time(in my life!)black was associated with peace... and the way the two bodies were forged...
now i see the same form here... the two who are one... and the words are chosen and placed in a way, one can see the tight hug.... the word 'hands' is written once but it is read twice... now just imagine the same thing in that sculpture... just one pair of hands... love...and peace... i have always had this feeling that they are one... fabulous work, Jon.
Crow... the idea of sculpting words (the space on the page being like a canvas for a painter) is one that you employ magnificently... it's you that was the inspiration for trying this very short piece out... thanks my friend...
Bobb... the peace within myself... like this a lot... nice touch of zen there...
Deli... thank you... let's continue to share our work and out thoughts and our hearts... you're a gem...
Andrea... Miss Doodle knows more than I about paint and canvas and space and sculpting images... the words on the page needs have this same logic working... see ya soon...
