Sorry to any of you who have readers tracking this blog and got four versions of this post... I had a bit of trouble getting the formatting right.

Money is not paper anymore. Currency has been digitized (turned into yet another profit stream for them that handle such.) It is a good argument to have over the value of the numbers resting on a sheet. Do they in fact represent wealth or the possibility of things that can be afforded. Which is myth and which is fact and further in the case of money, is there any difference between the two?

i wonder too

Jon,

Sharpe and steady poem. Funny, the $ feature almost made me hear the ringing sounds of an old-fashioned cash register.

Hey there, I liked this. I wish it would all fade away.
Also after reading Jenny's observation I read it again.. the ringing sounds of an old-fashioned cash register going off in my head...
Interesting stuff.

perhaps myths and stories are also ways to get in between the lines ... and ways to do transformative and even ( gasp) subversive work....
methinks you might know something of this....
nicely done

walking man,
I like how you say "over the value of the numbers resting on a sheet"... something to that here!

ribbon,
nice of you to stop by... let's wonder together for a time

jenny,
yeah, there's money popping up in all sorts of places... in sounds and colors and smells... what is the scent of money??? thanks for stopping by and for your insight as always

scrybe,
hi again! if you let the words on the page fade away in this post, and look at what is behind the words, some more of that $$$ may come to the surface...

harle,
ME??? NO!!! I'm not subversive, am I?!?

;)

All unconcealment implicates that which is concealed. You show this beautifully over and over again in your blog. I'm always careful to check what is left hidden!

hey Jon...
something very funny... do you know how i've got this on my reader?
all the $$$$$$$$$$$$'s are visible and your words are hidden...

now i come here and see just the reverse... and then i think of concealment... which is really concealed?

anyways... this is a great work... really loved it...

and
before reading between the lines... we always read the lines...
:D

Derliwall,

Indeed, that which is hidden must hold some part of that which is shown, and the other way around... but now that it's the other way around, are men mice and lions the moon?

HB,

It is funny how we read between the lines first, eh? But that seems to me more the way it is... not what is written, but how we make meaning of it...
Thanks for your insightful and thought provoking comment, as always...

Jon

reading between the lines first, is like opening the chest of a crow to find out how it says caaaaw caaaaw!
:D

what is "between" after all? between is nothing by itself... between comes to existence by the lines...
so what we should understand first is the lines... even if they are lies... that's why i always believe lies are truth... mistakes are sacred.... evil leads us to goodness...

and i respect and love all those who tell me lies... because they are communicating... because they are sharing... in their own way... at least they are not INDIFFERENT...
and you know what a horrible thing indifference is...
no war, no hatred can annihilate man but indifference can...
surely you know about Elie Wiesel famous quote... once i put it on my blog...

love and peace to you and all those people who talk... who tell stories... who tell lies... who are not silent!
:)

I am always excited by your words written. The way you play with them. The formats, thoughts and message behind such.
I always like something that makes me think and your words often do.
